"Believe
me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in
me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.
I tell you the truth; anyone who has faith in me will do what
I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these
because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you
ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it."
Jesus
invite us to ask with faith and perseverance until God assures
us that our prayer has been heard or else helps us understand
that what we asked for was not good for us nor was it the
will of God. It is the Lord's invitation for us to see His
great power to save and heal as we draw close to him in prayer.
I
will praise the Name of the Lord Jesus for the Lord is compassionate
and loving kindness; He forgives our sins and saves us in
time of distress. I am very much delighted to proclaim to
all nation and through out the world that the Lord our God
is a miraculous God and He is always there to give the best
answer to our prayers. I will give Him thanks and praise for
I was able to hear his call through His Holy Words. I come
to know Him, believe Him and become a living witness to His
marvelous acts of healing different illnesses.
Last
September 19, 2007 my 15-year old son Rolando got sick of
fever. We brought him to the nearest hospital in our town
in Ubay but the hospital forwarded us to the hospital in Tagbilaran
for my son was a dengue suspect. It was Sunday night that
my son got admitted at Celestino Gallares Provincial Hospital.
He was given medication. After 2days of confinement, the doctors
found out that my son's kidney was greatly affected. His criatinin
was too high. The doctor recommended that my son would undergo
dialysis as soon as possible. It was Tuesday night; the boxes
of dextrose were already prepared for the dialysis of my son
for the following day. All of the sudden, there were group
of people entered into our room. They were members of Catholic
Charismatic Renewal Movement Healing Ministry. Our roommates
requested a healing prayer. I also listened to their prayer.
The healing ministry group also includes my son in their prayers
for healing. They share to me the good news that Jesus still
works miracles until this time through His Holy Words. They
gave several testimonies that there was lots of people were
healed of different illnesses as they come to the Lord in
prayer. They told me to pray, sing praises songs to Jesus
and read the Bible. I heard from them that the words of God
in the Bible is the best medications of sickness and different
illnesses as written in the book of Matthew 8: 14 - 17. I
was inspired as I heard their testimonies. I joined them in
prayer and as I draw close to God in prayer, He bestowed to
me the grace of faith. I never stopped praying. I read several
chapters in the Bible. I stretch my hands to Jesus, praying
heartedly that He will perform miracles to my son through
His Holy Name as promised in Acts 4:30. I also come down in
the presence of the Lord with humble heart asking forgiveness
of all our sins. I asked the Lord in my prayer that the following
day no dialysis would take place and my son would be completely
healed. I claimed His promises written in Mark 11:22-24. Praise
the Lord! Alleluia! God is really true and faithful to His
promises in the Bible for my son's fever subsided and the
criatinin became low. The doctor new findings as resulted
in the laboratory tests showed that my son need not to undergo
dialysis for everything came back to normal. Alleluia! Glory
to God! God answered our prayers! No dialysis took place and
my son also healed from high fever. It was the great and majestic
works of Jesus. It was His own way of showing us that He is
alive and He is God of hope, strength and He can do all things.
With God nothing is impossible as written in Luke 1: 37. The
miraculous deeds of Jesus were greatly manifested in the healing
of my son. I am fully convinced that Jesus is always near
we will just simply call Him in prayer.
I am very much thankful to Jesus for the gift of healing He
gave to my son and the gift of faith also that He bestowed
to us. I will praise His name for giving us angels through
Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement Healing Ministry. I
was able to hear the good news through the messages in the
Bible. As the words of God proclaimed through out the world,
faith and salvation of people sets in. It is written in Romans
10: 17 that faith comes from the hearing the messages through
the words of Christ. Let us continue to share the good news
of salvation. I am very thankful to Jesus for making us living
witnesses of His power to heal. Thank you also to Sunday Post
for this column. The name of our Lord will be magnified and
glorified. Amen!
