8 robberies alarm police boss
Lending
firm loses an average of P12K

A
series of robberies involving a grassroot- oriented lending
company has alarmed Police Senior Supt. Edgardo Ingking, provincial
director of the Philippine National Police, that he warned
of more incidents if opportunity remains a tempting option
for suspects.
The
provincial police director's warning came on the heels of
the successful busting of a notorious robbery gang that resulted
in the arrest of its members following a daylight heist of
the Bank of Commerce Tagbilaran branch. The bank was held
up by the dreaded Garcia Robbery Gang last August 28 carting
away P90,000 in cash.
