Lim unleashes most devastating attack vs de la Serna

Tagbilaran Mayor Dan Lim yesterday detonated the verbal equivalent of an atomic bomb against bosom friend lawyer Victor de la Serna.

The dropping of the Lim bombshell ended weeks of bated anticipated after de la Serna tipped off this paper's BGlante about the city mayor's unexplained use of his discretionary funds.

This paper's BGlante column picked up the de la Serna tip and since then people of Tagbilaran have been waiting for Lim to make his own defenses against his former friend's potshots in the disbursement of discretionary funds.

DA secretary lauds Bohol leaders'

Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Arthur Yap said Bohol is blessed to have leaders who are capable and spirited in executing development with equation on sustainability.

Yap issued the statement during an interview with the local in appreciation to First District Representative Edgar Chatto's efforts in influencing Congress into adopting and funding several major DA programs on farm enhancement and food sufficiency.

Piezas eyes improved town
coordination via newsletter

GUINDULMAN, under Mayor Maria Fe Piezas now embarks on creating its own transparency in governance tool via a newsletter it is planning to produce.

And by equipping its vast pool of writers, she believes the effort would be worth it.

In a meeting with key department heads and consultants last January 28, Piezas bared anew her administration's thrust on the importance of transparency in government and in support to information and technology with the planned activity.
