new dynasty is in the making. Composed of an Old Boys Club of graduating congressmen, it is poised to change Bohol's political landscape forever.

But who's afraid of this new political combination? It's too early to tell, but if the threat to form the coalition materializes, then all hell breaks loose in Bohol's political scene.

Choco Hills climbs to 4th
of 77 N7W semi-finalists

LOVERS of the Chocolate Hills have reason to rejoice - the world renowned natural wonder last night climbed to No. 4 among the 77 semi-finalists in the search for the New Seven Wonders of Nature from its No. 5 berth the other day.

It follows Palawan's Tubbataha Reef that holds position No. 3 while two other Philippine natural wonders - the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River and come-backing Mayon Volcano hold rank Nos. 8 and 11 respectively.

PNP chief sought

TUBIGON-Citing inefficiency, Vice-Mayor Alfredo Batausa requested Mayor Luna Piezas to cause the replacement of Police Chief Inspector Jeffrey Caballes.

In his letter to the mayor dated May 29, 2008, Batausa also cited public interest as the major basis for ridding of Caballes together with three specific indications of the police chief's inefficiency.
