"Is
anyone among you discouraged? Let him pray. Is anyone among
you happy?
Let
him sing songs to God. If anyone is sick, let him call on
the elders of the church. They shall pray for him, anointing
him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer said in faith
will save the sick man; the Lord will raise him up and if
he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven."
Prayer
is the oxygen of our soul. It gives us strength to carry on
and gives us healing of any sickness. I will gladly proclaim
to all people the mighty works of God in healing the sick
as I experienced healing lately. I will tell all nations the
healing power that God has bestowed through prayer with faith
and His Holy Words in the Bible. God is God that heals anyone
who will call His name; He answers us all the time and serves
us as our mighty protector.
Recently,
on February 21, my husband was trembling in dire stomach pain.
He vomited a lot. It was just a matter of minute intervals
that he had to go to the comfort room until he became so weak.
We read the Bible then prayed to Jesus.
Making
it worst, the continuous stomache pain that he suffered was
coupled with fever. He was almost in delirium as his body
temperature rose. We keep on praying and his temperature lowered
down. He went to sleep. Afterwards, I experienced also stomach
pain. I went to the comfort room and I also vomit. Then later
on fever took place. I became too weak and almost dehydrated.
I ask my younger brother to buy pain reliever. I took up pain
reliever but I experience no healing.
The
following day, the stomach pain was associated with fever.
It was the same condition with my husband. We both got sick
at that time. We prayed to Jesus and read the Bible but I
was in fear and worries dominated in my thoughts for my younger
brother who was with us suffers the same conditioned. Aside
from it I have also 6 months old baby who is defending on
my milk for only breastfeeding is her supplement.
We
directly went to the nearest hospital in our town in Lila.
We went to Valencia Hospital. I was given a treatment and
I requested to be out patient only for I have a baby. After

Up
we went home. We send a message to our relatives in Dagohoy
Bohol to be with us in Lila for nobody can look after of my
baby for the 3 of us in the family got sick except my baby.
They responded at once. It was Monday morning, February 25,
2008 that my father decided to bring me in the hospital for
I looked so pale and very weak and almost dehydrated. We packed
our clothes and we were about to go the hospital. As we reached
in the highway to ride the bus for Tagbilaran, my husband
vomited a lot. We stopped for while. As we stopped in the
highway, our neighbor told us to seek healing first in prayer.
We are blessed for we live in a place wherein healing prayer
is there conducted by Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement
Healing Ministry. We went to house of the one who lead the
ministry and gathered altogether for prayer. My father and
father in law, my sister, husband and brother joined the prayer.
We were united in prayer.
As
we prayed, we really feel the Holy presence of the Lord. Lots
of sweat were coming out from my body so with my husband.
Then after 20 minutes of prayer, we felt lighter and relieved
from any pains and discomfort. We experienced healing after
we read the Bible. Then we decided not to go anymore to the
hospital for we experienced immediate healing instead we went
to our town in Dagohoy Bohol to have rest. We traveled so
safely and reached in our place with so much strength.
After
two days, we went back to Lila Bohol where we permanently
live and declare the good news that it was all because of
prayer we were healed. The power of healing from God was greatly
manifested in ourselves. We praise the name of Jesus all the
time.
We
thank you to Jesus for letting us always to experience His
power to heal and save to those who will call His name. This
is the second time around that we experienced miracles for
the last time my husband was healed from typhoid fever by
prayer also. Thank you Jesus for the gift of healing! Thank
you also to Sunday Post for this column. The name of the Lord
will be proclaimed and praise all the time. Alleluia! Amen!
