"Consider
it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many
kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops
perseverance.
Perseverance
must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete,
not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should
ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault,
and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe,
have faith and not doubt,
Faith
is the thread we hang onto when our life is falling apart.
We experience it when we see the power of an ocean and the
fragility of a dried-up dandelion. And we know that at such
times we are touch with the Spirit. In describing this gift
of faith, I am saying that we always feel vibrant and confident.
Even the most spiritual and the most faithful among us at
times we have dark moments and gloomy moods. .But with faith
we have resilience, we have a reservoir of courage, strength
and hope to draw on when we encounter pain and we stand ready
to be used by the Spirit in whatever plan God has for our
lives.
The
Lord Jesus Christ is giving the gift of faith in my life.
I am enjoying the said gift for almost 6 years already. It
is a gift of sustaining power to whatever trials came into
my life. I am very much thankful to Jesus for such wonderful
blessing He bestowed upon me. I will proclaim to all nations
that Jesus is the loving God and always hears us when we call
and His hands are always there to catch us when we fall.
The
gift of faith came unto me as I became a member of Catholic
Charismatic Renewal Movement Healing Ministry. In this ministry
I came to know and experienced several miracles of healing
the sick and saving people from sins. God calls me also to
be in this ministry and I became an active leader in our place.
It is a wonderful blessing that we have a daily prayer meeting
in our place and it happens in our very own house. The said
prayer meeting exists for 3 years already. As I serve the
Lord, there were some trials permitted to happen in my life.
There
were permitted sicknesses but God saves us from them all.
Last June 2007, I underwent a great trial. Satan tries to
discourage me & let me stopped from serving the Lord by
threatening me that my family will be broken. My husband got
angry with me every time I will go to other places for prayers
for healing the sick people. He has a lot of fears that if
I continue to serve the Lord by praying other people in other
places I might leave behind my children. He got jealous also
of my time for my family. He definitely says no for my service
in the Lord in the healing ministry. I answered him with tender
loving answer that I will definitely serve the Lord no matter
what happens. I told him that Jesus is the owner of my life,
his life and the lives of my children. If I will not serve
the Lord, every thing will lose in my life. I stood up firmly
with faith that I will continue serving the Lord despite of
the threat that my husband will leave me. He is an OFW and
one day he calls me up and finally bids goodbye to me because
he knows that I continued serving the Lord and all he thoughts
was I betrayed him and had a nonsense jealousy. All I did
was prayer. I asked also prayer support from the healing ministry
in Tagbilaran City and my whole family together with my in
laws prayed so hard for my husband.
Satan
used his jealousy to stopped me from serving the Lord but
I used also the power of the words of God as my shield against
the devil scheme as stated in the book of Ephesians 6 : 10
- 20. The Lord hears our prayers for I was victorious.
The
Lord never allow His children suffers from any pain and troubles
for God set me free from the threat of being a broken family.
My husband's mind was enlightened by God and as he went home
last March 6, 2008 we were united with love and faith in God.
Last April 26 & 27 also God planned for us to join the
marriage enrichment seminar that somehow strengthens our relationship
as couples and our relationship to God also became strong.
God is so wonderful. He will always work miracles as we continue
to believe in His power to save. My whole family is now serving
the Lord wholeheartedly and we are very happy and blessed
to have Jesus in us.
Thank
you very much Lord for the gift of faith. Thank you also to
Sunday Post for this column. This is all for the honor and
glory of our dear Lord Jesus. Amen!
