'Tubigon Port improved services
over the years,' Presidential staff

TUBIGON-The strategic monitoring group of the Malacañang confirmed that port services here have improved over the years.

This was based on the assessment that the monitoring group conducted on April 22.

Ferdinand Cui Jr., assistant secretary, head of strategic monitoring group of Malacañang and Staff Officer Clem Cabugayan interviewed and made an assessment on Bohol shippers, ambulant vendors, tricycle drivers, and some of the Local Government Unit (LGU) staff right at the municipal port.

The team found out that since completion of the port, the cost of transporting goods- - agricultural and non-agricultural, by Bohol shippers had decreased by 35 percent.

The respondents also said that the goods transported through the port are now less exposed to damage.

They also said there is now an increased number of passengers and volume of cargoes as a result of the services of roll-on and roll-off vessels at the port.

They also appreciate the positive economic impact brought about by the RORO facilities.
