Mayor "grabs
bull by the horn"

The bull here is the nagging drainage issue and Mayor Dan Neri Lim needed no pomp and fanfare to grab it by the horn and sent the same to extinction.

It happened on a rainy day Friday where residents along CPG North Avenue particularly in the vicinity of the Tagbilaran Coca cola Plant and Development Bank of the Phils., were bracing for another dose of heavy flooding.

TWO national figures were conferred President Carlos P. Garcia Leadership Awards even after the commemoration of the 112th birth anniversary of the 4th President of the Republic of the Philippines last November 4 in Tagbilaran City.

Gov. Erico Aumentado led a delegation of officials from Bohol and the Boholano Association of Metro Manila, Inc. (BAMMI) to present the award to Dr. Emilio Yap, chair of the boards of both the Manila Bulletin and the historic landmark Manila Hotel at his Bulletin office on November 6, and to Metropolitan Manila

Selective interest

 The closure of the San Jose outfall was one experiment that left a bad taste in the mouth. It was something that should not have happened in the first place.

It started off with something suspicious, if not cynical. Who ordered the closure of the outfall, that's hard to tell by this time. While Rep. Edgar Chatto's name cropped up once during a meeting, the first district solon has since denied he had anything to do with the order. FULL TEXT
