Anti-drug refresher course for
police chiefs, intel offrs held

CHIEFS of police and intelligence and investigation officers from all over Bohol's 47 towns and one city trooped to the provincial police office in Camp Dagohoy, Tagbilaran City yesterday for an anti-illegal drugs orientation seminar organized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) here.

Gov. Erico Aumentado welcomed the move, lauding PDEA Region 7 Assistant Director Randy Pedroso; Sr. Supt. Edgardo Ingking, Bohol police provincial director; IO3 Yogi Felimon Ruiz, PDEA Bohol provincial officer and his assistant, IO1 Earl Rallos for inviting Undersecretary and Dangerous Drugs Board Vice Chair Clarence Paul Oaminal the noted drug-fighter from Cebu. Mayor Uy vows to solve
Baclayon's water probs

Baclayon Mayor Alvin Uy vowed to solve, this year, the water supply problem in the barangays that the constituents have been suffering for many years already.

The mayor said that the operation of Payahan reservoir will solve the water supply in barangays Montaña and laya.

This year, the Municipal Development Council has allocated over P1-million worth of barangay projects including the development of a water source which got a chunk of P500 thousand. FULL STORY


Great equalizer

It is difficult to determine truth from fiction in the war of attrition between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

With spinmasters muddling the issue with each passing day, one can no longer be too sure who is telling the truth and who is passing off lies.

For sure, somebody is pulling someone else's legs. The DOJ and the PDEA can't both be right - although they can both be capable of a certain degree of dishonesty and insincerity. FULL TEXT
