says he'll resign

"I WILL resign my position if the Panglao Bohol international Airport will be a no-go."

Thus Bohol Gov. Erico Aumentado staked his governorship over the latest skepticism in the construction of the proposed P4.2-billion airport, expressed this time by Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Lim.

Speaking during his weekly program The Governor Reports simulcast live over the city's two radio stations, Aumentado gamely took Lim's challenge.

Bohol gets aid from
Australia & Korea

BOHOL will implement over P350-million worth of projects in the next four to five years with assistances from the governments of Korea and Australia.

This after Gov. Erico Aumentado will sign Friday separate memorandums of agreement with the Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica), and Australia through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) in rites to be held in Quezon City.

TALIBON-Mayor Juanario Item has been chosen outstanding local chief executive by the Philippine Environmental Governance 2 (Eco-Gov) Project for the municipality's excellent implementation of environmental programs that involve several sectors of the community.

The cross-sector over-all LGU index is measured across all sectors- -forests, coastal and urban environment; principles, functionality, transparency, accountability and public participation and functions like planning and implementation, budgeting and disbursement, procurement of services, issuance of licenses and tenure of instruments.

Due process

 The order issued by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for the filing of administrative charges against key state prosecutors in the so-called Alabang Boys scandal gives a glimmer of hope for justice.
